A Christmas message from our Chairman David Taylor
How time flies! Can it be a year since our last Christmas Concert? It is lovely to be back again at our favourite venue - St John's, which is perfect for Christmas carols.
We have had a very busy year following our 90th Birthday Dinner last February. Two of the highlights have been at Glastonbury Abbey and Dilllington Hall, last Saturday.
You will see a record number in the choir and we hope you enjoyed the congregational carols, which were slightly different…..
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our advertisers, who continue to support us.
This year Tracey Hansford, our musical director, had introduced seven new pieces to the choir and she continues to work hard to make us improve. Christine Robertson has been a great support on the piano and helps make Tuesdays very enjoyable.
Although we are still expanding our numbers, we could still welcome any new members at the Town Hall on Tuesday evenings. We meet on Tuesdays in the Town Hall.
I would like to thank all of our supporters for their attendance and help during the year.
It only remains for me to thank everyone at St John’s church for inviting us back to the beautiful church for our christmas concert.
David Taylor
