Red Cross Steam Special

The choir was pleased to support the British Red Cross singing for a charity fund raising excursion train . At the start of the day the choir performed at Bishops Lydiard Station before the specially chartered steam train left for Minehead. Later that afternoon Minehead station was the venue for another performance where the choir was able to exploit the unusually good acoustics of the platform. There were a few amusing additional accompanying sounds from shunting engines and some difficulties seeing our conductor enveloped in clouds of steam.

We were blessed with a lovely sunny day and on our trip home a very welcome cream tea was served. the Red Cross had a very successful day and the choir enjoyed a fun packed day singing in some very unusual venues.
