EST. 1923
The Choir has now been singing for over 100 years. During that time the choir has been reinvigorated and refreshed many times. We are currently almost 40 strong and two thirds of our members have joined in recent years. We have a place for you too!
2023 will be our centenary year and we are planning to celebrate in style. We are keen to boost our numbers in preparation for this special year.
WE SING FOR THE JOY OF IT
We find singing as a choir uplifting and rewarding, but ultimately, we sing for the joy of it. As a group, we come together to deliver some wonderful, hair-raising harmonies; we even amaze ourselves with the sound we can create!
Come Join Us
If you think singing with us may be for you, we invite you to pop down to
Glastonbury Town Hall
on a Tuesday evening at 7:45 pm..
Contact us for details.
It is free to come and give it a try; there are no auditions and we welcome all men of any singing abilities. We would normally team you up with someone in the choir with a similar voice to help you make a start.
OUR CHARITY WORK
The choir is a registered charity and has helped raise significant amounts for both local and national charities. We also do our bit for the local community by singing at a variety of concerts each year.and by working with voluntary groups like Wells Lions and Glastonbury & Street Rotary we have reaised in excess of £10,000 in recent years
AN ECcLECTIC REPERTOIRE
Our repertoire is always growing and changing. We sing an expansive range of genres including modern, traditional, folk, pop and sacred, with a few well-known numbers from popular musicals. During the Christmas period, we have a selection of festive music to get you in the spirit of things.
